  1. Add a Facebook plugin

I found out about the archive through Facebook friends I met at a show. It would nice if you had the option of adding a post to your Facebook wall when you add a concert to your personal archive. Doing so would spread the word about the website and get more people to join which would further expand the archive.

  2. A compact view of artists you've seen

    • You could segment by decade artist first became known in
    • You could losely order by importantance top to bottom
    • You could decide to group some separately; comedy for example.
    • If you've seen someone more than once you'd see a number to the right: Example: Chuck Berry (2), Little Richard (3), Jerry Lee Lewis

I used to have a more compact view like this and miss it.

  3. State-level location statistic

New statistic: break down attendance by state, so I could see that I've seen 25 shows in Massachusetts, vs 10 in New York, vs 1 in Rhode Island, for example.

  4. Additional Statistics and Visualizations

    More statistics and visualizations
Users are entering lots of data about their concert-going history. It would be cool to generate statistics and visualizations from that data.

  5. Link bands to uploaded pictures

Linking uploaded pictures to the bands that played at the event. As the band names are entered these could be used (drop down maybe) to optionally tag the pictures.

  8. Auto Fill is Optional

Auto fill of venues and band names is often incorrect and does not allow editing. For instance. I saw U2 at Exeter University in 1980, but they played in the Student Union, not The Great Hall. Auto fill only allows me to enter The Great Hall under Exeter University. Likewise, the band Julian recently opened for Partner at DC9 in Washington, DC. Auto fill won’t let me add Julian - only Julianna Hatfield.

  12. QR codes for concert info

Work with promoters to have QR codes to automatically input show data. They could put QR codes on posters or social ads. If you scan it, it would create the concert in concertarchives.org. In addition, it could add info like ticket links (you could get commission).

  13. Table based bulk entry for copy paste

Table based bulk entry. If I have a bunch of shows I went to this month, and I don't want to create a spreadsheet to import them, and I don't want to enter them one at a time, rather just copy and paste the specific lines out of my ongoing spreadsheet into the site.

  16. Jethro Tull August 8, 1969, @ Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, CA, not Los Angeles, CA. Tull opened for Led Zeppelin. I WAS THERE.

CORRECTIONS TO YOUR PAGE: Jethro Tull, August 8, 1969, @ Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, CA, NOT Los Angeles, CA as cited. Tull opened for Led Zeppelin, the latter IS NOT mentioned. I WAS THERE, SO I KNOW WHAT I'M WRITING ABOUT. Many years ago a private airplane crashed into the Swing Auditorium, destroying the building.

  18. ...please tell us how to add photos/videos

Have a FAQ on how to add photos and/or videos to concerts that we did not upload and/or attend. Do we have to add them to our personal Archive first, add photos, then remove that concert from our Archive?

  19. Try to get ahold of Al Porcolab (sp?) He was the Original Owner of Bogarts in Cincinnati before it was bought by the Current Owner(s)

I know all the past, present, and current Bar and Nightclub owners in Cincinnati. I used to know everyone at Riverfront Coliseum and Riverfront Stadium. I worked for CBS Records in the Early 80's before they pulled out of Cincinnati. There's a lot of Concerts missing from the 80's that I attended at Bogarts. Before that it was the Inner Circle. The Pete and Bill Georgeton sold it to Al Porcolab who renamed it Bogarts while Pete and Bill Started the Black Stallion and Annies both of which had Great National Acts. I saw George Thourogood and the Destroyers at…
