Allow users to add MusicBrainz IDs to artist entries
When I add smaller bands, Concert Archives sometimes pulls in links, genres, and other metadata from a different artist with the same name. I then have to report the incorrect information to support.
It would be helpful to have an optional MusicBrainz ID field when creating an artist entry. This would help identify the correct artist and pull in the right metadata, reducing mix-ups and the need to report them.

Enable 2FA / passkey/security key Option for Log-in to Protect Data
Hi Concert Archives!
I absolutely love this site! I have seen it before but didn't realize how really amazing it is!
I have a few suggestions/ideas and my first I feel is very important-
IDEA: It would be amazing and very smart I think to have the option to enable 2FA and/or passkey or security key option when logging in to the website. We put in so much time and effort into updating and uploading years even decades of important information and knowledge it would be a shame to loose it all because of basic lack of security for our…

Change the display for show headliners
At the moment all artists who played the gig display on the header for a concert (seperated by dashes). I think it would make more sense to have the headline act as the main artist (text displayed bigger), then underneath it have the support acts.

Create share cards for easy share to social media and others
Create share cards for easy share to social media for concerts and also if you choose to share an anniversary concert.
If there is no photo already made as a cover photo, use either a bands' photo that is performing, or maybe a photo of the concert venue if available.
All this automatically created and ready to either post or save image to phone when you hit a share button on the app or site.
Would be nice to share upcoming concerts as well as past and also anniversaries. Obviously an anniversary share would have that distinction.

Verified tour titles to pick from
Verify official tour titles from bands/artists and make them a drop down menu (or something similar). The amount of times I’ve created a concert for another user to be able to go in and change it to an incorrect tour name is frustrating, especially when it was the one the artist was using in promos/on tour posters.

Select how many days you were at a festival
With the new longest streaks feature, it is stating on profiles that a user was there for the whole festival spanning over multiple days by default - with no way to despite how many/what days you were present. Any option to specify would be greatly appreciated :-)

Livestream should have a separate category
Any livestream event should be classed in it's own livestream category as very few would have been at the actual event. These should have separate stats.

Add A Concert from a Band's or Venue's Profile
This feature would allow a user to access the Add A New Concert form from a Band's or Venue's profile directly, with said artist or venue populating the textbox entry in the form automatically.
This would be useful for an individual trying to add multiple shows they had gone to by the same artist, as well as for Historians to add tours or runs from a specific artist or a residency or group of concerts at a specific venue quicker.

Change the “Concerts Attended vs Year” line graph to a bar graph
A line graph is not appropriate when intermediate points and the area under the curve are not meaningful. A bar graph is more visually intuitive in this case.

"Tickets" WE NEED PHYSICAL TICKETS BACK
Work on a way to create "Concert Archives" tickets for those of us who miss physical tickets for collector/scrapbook purposes.
It could look like a standard ticket with artist name, location, date, etc. but make it "Concert Archives" branded to skip any legal fuss. I can't speak for everyone but I think people would pay to be able to get something that resembles a physical ticket to modern-day shows!

add the ability to add "with friends" or similar
Many concerts the listed bands invite special guests and friends to join them for some or all of their set - it would be great to be able to add that information to named featured band. Avoids adding a guest as a named band when they were not on the bill - but captures the information.

add the ability to add promoters to a concert
Having information about who the promoter was gives a number of benefits:
* Adds another person/group/organisation with a motivation to make sure all the information is correct
* Adds another means of filtering searching for concerts
* Provides more historic information about the concert
* Potentially add another source of upcoming concerts as promoters will be motivated to let people know about the concert1 vote -
Show festival artists and separate the festival days.
It sucks that festivals now just show the festival name and not the artists. The festival name is nothing, the artists everything. And each day of the festival should be listed separately, with only the artist playing on that day listed. And for our personal listings, just show the artists we actually saw. The way it is now done confuses the issue and makes people think I saw ALL those acts when I may have only seen a couple. This is a site to list the bands and concerts I saw. If you want to promote the festivals, then make…

Implementing Blockchain with Arweave to Secure all Concert Data Forever
Hi Concert Archives, I have an idea that is perhaps something to consider but for the near future. Utilizing blockchain technology including arweave to archive all concert data to live forever onchain. It would be the most up-to-date and secure way of chronicling this massive amount of data so that it always exists on the internet instead of relying only on private servers. If this is ever something you are interested in I can help point you in the right direction.
Cheers! Thank you for the amazing website!

Filter photos and videos by artist and song in the setlist
When uploading a video or photo, I think it would be cool if users could tag it based on the name of the artist and the song from the setlist (or have it tagged by the community later if they don't know). Then when using the app, users could click/tap on the song in the artist setlist and be shown photos/footage of that specific song. It would be a good way to seperate out content where there are lots of artists/songs etc.

Allow “Historian” users to edit band pages
I see a lot of small local bands and I find it somewhat frustrating when I look at a bands page just for all the info about them to be dead wrong. I would love it if trusted users with the “Historian” label could edit the band pages so they’re accurate. (I say trusted users to prevent spam and misinformation)

BAND NAME
I suggest when we enter the "band name" a list from multiple spotify artists appear for the band so we can choose the band we are reffering to. Because the band that is listed on the concert is often different. A lot of bands have the same name you know.

Notes field on artist level
At the moment, the notes field is on concert level. It would be nice to have an additional, optional notes field on artist level of a concert to enter information about special sets etc

Allow users to rank music venues
Music venues vary so much, and deserve to be rated on their own (separate from a concert). Things like sound, lights, bar area, layout, temperature, bathrooms, etc matter a ton.
Also it would let users read and plan ahead. “Okay I have to get here X-minutes early to get a good view”, “sounds like the best views are on the left side of the stage”. “Okay they have 2 bars, and one of them had good views”
