I use the open souce platform Home Assistant to automate my house, including using the open source platform Music Assistant within it to select audio sources and distribute them to rooms. Dashboards on wall-mounted tablets and on phones provide the interface to control and monitor the system. With a REST API, folks like me could have Home Assistant request our concert statistics (and/or community statistics) to display as songs or artists are played in the system. This could be a good starting point for an API, at least, since it would require only a GET function (no need to develop server-side updating functionality for this).
That's a feature I'd pay for!
