How do I get around people adding band or artist names as the 'tour title' on my gig additons and them having to go to approval if I remove them again?1 vote
Your site would be much more valuable if I could look up history of a venue (Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, as an example) and find one entry instead of the 23 that are there now. I do not have that problem on setlist.fm1 vote
We’ll be working on this soon. It’s scheduled to be done after we validate the city info (which is nearly done).
An option to hide the bands you didnt see from a concert/festival:
- from your Concert tab. So your history will be cleaner with only with the band you saw.
- from the own concert. Right now, it is a little messy when you try to review what bands you really watched in a big Festival as there are plenty of "not seen" mixed with the bands you really saw.
Good suggestion :)
We’re going to be working on features specific to festivals and will likely add this. It’s going to be a bit before that but it’s on the road map!
Have a contest on who can come up with the best fantasy gig with a certain theme.(i.e.-Chicago,Boston,& Kansas in concert).1 vote
I really like this idea! No guarantees but I’m hoping to add this soon :)
Be able to link band names for bands who change their name that you saw before and after the name change.30 votes
I think there should be a checkbox for a show vs. a festival. With this, if it is a festival, having a breakdown by stage (in the order the bands played the stages) would be nice to have.29 votes
Adding features specifically for festivals is something we definitely want to do!
Please post your ideas about what features you’d like to see and we’ll take them under consideration when we start our planning for this.
If you add the same event twice to your list by accident you will get a notification about duplicate events.28 votes
This is on our roadmap. We’re working a lot on addressing duplicates now and doing it in stages. First was duplicate Locations which is done. We’re almost done with duplicate Venues. Then will be duplicate Bands and duplicate Concerts last.
In this process we’re cleaning up a lot of the existing duplicates and also adding verification checks when you add a new concert.
i.e. when a band plays two sets the same day of a festival. Currently it only counts as seeing the band once.27 votes
While it’s possible to add a band to a concert multiple times currently, it doesn’t function the way you would expect (as some people have pointed out in the comments).
In particular, if you add the band twice, it still only counts as seeing them once in your stats. There are also some other minor things like when you mark one of the instances seen/unseen it automatically marks all instances for that band.
This is on our roadmap to fix but since it’s a fairly rare situation it’s pretty low on our list at the moment behind things like data cleanup, etc.
Thanks for surfacing this idea/bug!
Linking uploaded pictures to the bands that played at the event. As the band names are entered these could be used (drop down maybe) to optionally tag the pictures.1 vote
