Link together Bands that changed their name
Be able to link band names for bands who change their name that you saw before and after the name change.
I know this could be complicated as band lineups change a lot but maybe the band lineup could be customizable on shows ? You could link this information to the Wikipedia database maybe. So if a band member is absent and replaced by someone else, you could mention that, and you could have stats by artists. For example, Jonny Craig changed band three times already and is now touring as a solo artist. If I saw Emarosa, Slaves and him as a solo artist, I would have seen him as an artist three times, while the stats for the bands Emarosa and Slaves would have 1 instance. I think this would be a great way to have your stats for all the different projects of the same person links to them AND the person. Also, adding a special appearance/featuring guest to a concert would be fairly easy this way. I commented on another suggestion somewhere how great it would be to be able to add special experiences to a concert (the suggestion said VIP/meet&greet/artists encounters, etc and I added « object(s) caught » as in picks, setlists, drumsticks etc) but a special appearance of a guest artist could be one of those special experiences too.

Yes, this is my most wanted feature. Exactly what Stratos says below. Frank Turner often plays both solo and band shows during the same tour, and I want to see them all under Frank Turner. Or Adam and the Ants/Adam Ant. The Bay City Rollers/The Rollers. It would be great to have a way to create personal combinations for our stats, since maybe all users would not want to see the same combinations.
Or artists that had more than one band such as Elvis Costello & The Attractions plus Elvis Costello & The Imposters or Robert Plant & The Band of Joy plus Robert Plant & the Sensational Shape Shifters (plus Led Zeppelin of course)
or artists that went solo, Phil Collins & Genesis, Roger Waters & Pink Floyd, Mark Knopfler & Dire Straits etc.

At some point in their career bands often shorten their name or change their name completely. To avoid seeing them as two bands from this point on it would be nice to link those names together
