Allow editing of the cover photo
Would be pretty cool if there was the ability to move a cover photo up or down (similar to how it works on Facebook's timeline view). Some photos get cut off/cropped and would be cool to be able to edit the viewable portion of it by sliding it up or down a little bit.
7 votesYou can now crop the photo when you set it as the Cover Photo :)

Be able to follow users
It would be cool to get notifications about the concerts my friends are adding.
27 votesThis is done! You can now follow your friends on Concert Archives :)
When you are logged into the site check out the ‘Social’ area in the navigation.

On the concert list, show the bands that played when there is a concert title (like Lollapalooza)
I would like a way to list the name of the event (Virgin Fest '12) while also being able to see the bands that played - WITHOUT having to click deeper into the list.

Prevent Songkick database from populating title field
I've noticed that when a user adds a concert using the 'Search for Past Concerts' function, the title field is automatically populated with not only the artist name but also the venue and date. Since venue and date are already included in their own separate fields, it would be great if the title field only showed the artist name or show title where applicable.
1 voteThe system should catch this situation most of the time now while still letting through legitimate concert titles (like “Coachella 2018” for example).
I also have a process running right now that’s going through all of the pre-existing concerts and standardizing the Songkick titles to match rest (“Band 1 / Band 2 / Band 3”).

rules
Clearly post a set of rules for adding submissions. I have already seen too many submissions wherein the user has decided to Title an event with the band/venue/date information that populates those respective fields.
For instance: The Maine at The Fillmore Silver Spring (October 13, 2018)
Should only be The Maine. The format of the webpage will show us the concert's date (far-left column) and venue (right column) without this needing to be repeated in the Title.

Add a feature to link Songkick account
I used to track the shows I went to on Songkick. Since the concerts already pull from their database, it would be great to transfer over shows I marked as attended on there
4 votesThis has been added :)
Under the “+ Add Concert” menu, there is an option to import the concerts from your Songkick account.

Omit Missed Acts
Add a function to omit bands on a line-up that you missed/skipped. Often times, I'll go to a show with 4 acts on it, but end up late and miss the openers. Don't wanna list bands on my page I missed.
7 votesThis is complete and live on the site :)

Tales from the Show!
Stories about the show!
1 voteThe best way to add stories about the show is in the ‘Comments’ for the concert.

link from "my-artist-view" page to "general-artist-view" page
I notice there's two different "artist-view" pages. The one I call "my artist view" which shows only the shows I've been to for that artist (e.g. http://www.concertarchives.org/bsammon/bands/girl-talk) and the one I call the "general artist view" which shows all the shows that concertarchives.org knows about for the artist.
It would be nice if I could navigate from one to the other (I'm especially interested in going from "my-artist-view" to "general-artist-view") via some method other than manually editting the URL. The link could be titled something like "see all concerts"
1 voteI added some additional links like you mentioned from the “user’s artist view” to the main artist page. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!

allow me to limit concert search to concerts in concertarchives.org
It would be nice if the songkick integration was optional (via checkbox or something)
1 voteIf you use the search box on the main concerts page (https://www.concertarchives.org/concerts), it will only search concerts on the Concert Archives site (not Songkick). This native search isn’t super powerful but it might suffice for what you need.

Tweaks for photo uploading
Photos uploaded do not auto-orient themselves. If a picture was taken vertically, it uploads horizontally (so, sideways) and there is no way to edit orientation. Could either be fixed while uploading, or after picture is uploaded.
4 votesI believe this was fixed awhile back. Let me know if it’s still an issue.

Be able to easily change order of bands
As of right now the only way to change the order of bands for a specific show is to delete every one below it, save it, and then add the bands in the correct order. The perfectionist in me wants it to always be the order they played, and for some reason the orders get wonky on this site sometimes.
7 votesYou can now drag and drop the bands into the correct order :)

More user interaction. Ability to like (and comment?) other users concerts
As I scroll through another users concert listing, it would be awesome if I could quickly like a concert and send them a short comment. The like/comment could show up in a messages/activity section. I just think it would be fun to add more interaction between users to make it more fun.
4 votesHi Ryan (and others),
You can already Like and Comment on other people’s concerts on the right side of the Concert page. Here’s a screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31839/Screenshots/bsw2.png
When you Like/Comment the user will receive an email notification. I plan to add an ‘Activity Stream’ / ‘News Feed’ in the future.
Cheers!

Add concert end date for multi-date events
Add end date for multi-day concerts
1 voteI just added the ability to set End Dates on multi-day concerts! When you create a new concert (or edit one), you’ll see a check box called ‘This is a multi-day concert’. If you check that, you’ll be able to enter the End Date.
Let me know how it works!

Quick Add button
Quick add button to each page for Add a Concert would be nice
1 voteThere is a link on the header of each page to Add a Concert:
1. Click ‘Your Concert Archive’ in the header at the top of the page
2. You’ll then see the links to Create New Concerts at the bottom of the dropdown menu.Cheers!

Be able to export your history into an excel or other document file
Not sure how difficult or possible it would be but being able to back up the information in some kind of format would be amazing. Would love to be able to export this just in case.
16 votesI’m happy to report that I added the ability for you to export your concert archive to Excel!
You’ll now find a link in your Profile Menu and on your Settings page called “Export to Excel”. Here’s a screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31839/Screenshots/export-to-excel.png
Easy peasy :)

Have a self ranking on the sidebar
Along with the rankings by year/band/location, be able to self rank favorite concerts.
20 votesGood news! I’ve just added the ability for you to mark your Favorite Concerts and have them displayed on your Overview page and a new Favorite Concerts page :)
There’s a bit more info here: https://concertarchives.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1820272
We’ll add some more features to the Favorites functionality in the future (particularly the ability to sort), but this is a nice start :)
