rules
Clearly post a set of rules for adding submissions. I have already seen too many submissions wherein the user has decided to Title an event with the band/venue/date information that populates those respective fields.
For instance: The Maine at The Fillmore Silver Spring (October 13, 2018)
Should only be The Maine. The format of the webpage will show us the concert's date (far-left column) and venue (right column) without this needing to be repeated in the Title.

Fix the "not seen" feature
The "not seen" feature seems to only work for bands you've never seen. If you've never seen them and click on the artist, it says you've never seen them. However, if you have before, it counts the time you marked them as "not seen" toward the total times seen.
1 voteThis was fixed last week. Thanks for letting me know!

Prevent Songkick database from populating title field
I've noticed that when a user adds a concert using the 'Search for Past Concerts' function, the title field is automatically populated with not only the artist name but also the venue and date. Since venue and date are already included in their own separate fields, it would be great if the title field only showed the artist name or show title where applicable.
1 voteThe system should catch this situation most of the time now while still letting through legitimate concert titles (like “Coachella 2018” for example).
I also have a process running right now that’s going through all of the pre-existing concerts and standardizing the Songkick titles to match rest (“Band 1 / Band 2 / Band 3”).

Include tour info
When I click on a concert I attended it’d be nice to see what your it was from. This could be synced from setlist as well if it’s not on song kick.
1 voteThe concert’s Title field is to be used for the Tour Name if there isn’t any other specific concert name (like a festival name for example).

Please add an option to add FUTURE concerts with wishlist option :)
Ideally I would like to add planning concert I have tickets already. It can be just a wishlist, or calendar view. Then I would like to click on Archive button to move particular concert.
1 voteI just added quite a few new features around ‘upcoming concerts’. You can see more details on the Release Notes here: https://www.concertarchives.org/release-notes
I also added the “Bucket List” feature a few months ago that is like a wishlist.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Merge/fix band names when one is definitely incorrect
It seems that there are some bands that have two entries for the what is clearly the same band. It might be nice to have a feature to request to merge two names, so that everything already entered under an incorrect name gets added to the band's real name. One example: "NOTS" and "Nots (Memphis)" are clearly the same band, since NOTS is from Memphis, TN, but their band name is definitely not "Nots (Memphis)".
1 voteYou can already request bands/venues/locations be merged by using the ‘Report Issue’ link in the navigation.
Thank you for taking the time submit this anyway though :)

photo of the concert ticket
I collect tickets for the shows I've seen - I am missing a few so would love if others posted their tickets,I could at least make a copy for my collection! Plus it gives info as to time it started, the cost of the ticket, etc.
1 voteHi there,
This is already possible. Users can upload photos of their tickets just like any concert photo and they can add the tag ‘Ticket’ to the photo.
Cheers,
Justin

Copy/Paste Table View
Copy/paste table view
I was already maintaining a spreadsheet for my concerts. When I found this site, I reformatted my spreadsheet so I could import it easily. I still maintain my spreadsheet to keep track of future shows and additional info.
It would be cool to have a table format copy/paste import so I can just copy the new concerts I haven't imported yet and paste them into a table input form on your site.
1 voteThe easiest way to do that would be to do an export from Concert Archives (‘Export to Spreadsheet’ link in the menu) and then you can easily copy/paste the concerts from your Concert Archives spreadsheet into your other spreadsheet.

Fix 'Cancel' button after '... Another' action
More of a defect report ;)
Make the 'Cancel' button after taking a 'Save and Add Another' action on the Bucketlist page take you back to the 'Bucketlist' index page. Currently, it takes you back to the 'Add to Bucketlist' form.
Haven't tested any other spots like this (if there even are), but I'd bet it's a common issue.
1 voteThis is fixed :)

Way to differentiate different artists with the same name.
I've seen two different artists who both go by the same name, and are grouped together for statistics, understandably. Maybe some way to separate them, such as where they're from?
1 voteYes, the way to do this is to add the location in parenthesis after the band name of the smaller band. For example, say there was a bigger band named Mono, for the Mono in Japan you’d enter it as “Mono (JP)”.
You can do this yourself by editing the concert(s) that the smaller band played, removing the band, and adding the new band with the location in parenthesis.

Add feature to post what items you got
Add a section where you can either say whether you got a T-shirt or other merch at the show or a setlist/pick/drumstick.
1 voteThe best place to put this info would be as a Comment on the concert page. If you have a photo/video you can also tag that photo/video as ‘Merch’.
Cheers,
Justin -
Tales from the Show!
Stories about the show!
1 voteThe best way to add stories about the show is in the ‘Comments’ for the concert.

Private notes
I would love to make private notes to my concerts to list my Highlights and lowlights of the concert
0 votesHi there, this feature already exists :)
You can make 'private notes' by posting a 'private comment'. In the 'Comments' section, you'll notice that there is an option to make your comment 'Private' before posting it so that you can have private notes.
Cheers,
Justin

Can a rule be set that does not allow US state abbreviations and auto corrects for location?
Concerts are showing up as two different cities as in the attached example. Utica, New York has 788 concerts and Utica, NY has 86 concerts, yet they are the same place. This could also be standardized for imported concerts such as Songkick.
https://www.concertarchives.org/locations?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search=Utica%252C+ny
0 votesHey there, we do account for state abbreviations for the US, Canada, and Australia when we do concert imports from 3rd party services. The trouble is typically from users who input the locations manually as there typically isn't enough info (a valid country name, etc) for us to infer that they are abbreviating a state name. I'm going to mark this idea as 'Completed' but there are always improvements that we can make as we continue to build systems to standardize the data. Thanks for submitting this suggestion! --Justin
