Do not co-mingle a venue by the same name that has two (2) or more known addresses.
Example: 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.
The original 9:30 Club operated from 1980 until 1995 at the historic Atlantic Building at 930 F Street NW. It had a truly unique history unto itself, and serves as a line of demarcation between the "New" 9:30 Club located north at 815 V Street NW which opened in January 1996. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Now, when I look at the shows I attended at the original F Street location, they're lumped in with the newer V Street location as well! Okay, so I can ascertain by the dates which witch is which - but other users of this site can't. I went to much trouble entering the correct address for each of my venues, now, with the 9:30 Club...let the scholars sort it out.

The best way to handle this currently would be to create a separate venue for the original 9:30 Club. I don't know enough about the history to know what the best name would be but something like "9:30 Club (Atlantic Building)" would work. That way you can delineate all of the concerts at the 'original' location and all the people who don't know the history can add their concerts to the regular '9:30 Club' listing.
